Actor Jeremy Lawrence will share inspiring anecdotes, poems, and excerpts from Willliams' letters in an unmatched Provincetown setting.
Jeremy Lawrence is an award-winning actor, playwright and lyricist. He has written and appeared in three Tennessee Williams one-man shows, including Talking Tennessee, Everyone Expects Me to Write Another ‘Streetcar’ and Lonely Man's Habit, which have been seen around the country. He created the role of “the Writer” in Five by Tenn at the Kennedy Center and subsequently played it at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Mr. Lawrence appears in two of the playwright’s late one–acts, The Traveling Companion and The Chalky White Substance under the direction of David Kaplan. His one man Einstein piece, Albert in Wonderland, has also toured about the nation. His evening of songs and sketches of the cabarets of Weimar Berlin Cabaret Verboten has been produced by numerous regional theatres, off-broadway, in London and in Sweden and led to his being commissioned to write the English adaptations for Ute Lemper’s Berlin Cabaret CD. He performed his tribute to the work of the queer artists of Weimar Berlin cabaret, Lavender Songs, at the Duplex in New York produced by TOSOS II. www.jeremylawrence.net
