TW THEATER FESTIVAL

Provincetown, MA

It's our pleasure to introduce you to Tennessee Williams: writer, lover, son, brother, amateur painter and America's great playwright.

In 60 minutes, scholar and director Augustin Correro will bring you up to speed on what Williams wrote and why, from smash hits on Broadway to outrages for the stage that were way ahead of their time.

We'll tell you everything you ever wanted to know — but were afraid to ask — about his life and legacy, from his hometown in the Mississippi Delta, to St. Louis, New Orleans, Hollywood, New York and, of course, to Provincetown.

This lecture and conversation, presented by our curatorial staff and a rotating cast of festival artists and Williams Institute scholars, is the perfect overture to this year's anniversary program of plays.
