Luscious!
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: BIG DADDY’S FAMILY IS GATHERING FOR HIS LAST BIRTHDAY. He's dying of cancer, but he doesn't know it. His favorite son, Brick, stands to inherit Big Daddy's enormous wealth, but Brick is too absorbed in grief and alcohol to fight for it. Brick's wife, nicknamed Maggie the Cat, is trying desperately to hang on to the inheritance her husband is throwing away—and to the man she loves. Unfolding in continuous action over the course of one evening on a Mississippi plantation, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is an enduring testimony to the thwarted will to live. The play’s unconventional pre-Broadway draft is reimagined and revitalized by co-directors Mitchell Polonsky, Chloe Claudel and THE GOAT EXCHANGE, the international company that made a big splash at the 2021 Festival with Mae West’s Sex. Featuring tour-de-force performances from six high-energy ensemble members, an internationally renowned violinist, and one inanimate object, this production will leave you (and its central character) breathless.
