The Provincetown Tennessee William Festival is pleased to release this advanced look at our 2021 Festival Catalog centerfold.
We hope it reminds you of a Village Voice or a Boston Phoenix, alternative narratives to “official” news sources.
Keeping with our theme for 2021, Tennessee Williams and Censorship, most of the plays we are presenting this year, from Williams’ “Battle of Angels” to Mae West’s “Sex”, were officially condemned by critics, politicians, and the police. Defying such censors, here and now, in line with a 400-year tradition of free expression on the Outer Cape, we invite you —again—to affirm the power of live performance.
This year’s Festival will be in-person in Provincetown, September 23 – 26. Festival passes and tickets to individual shows are available now. We look forward to seeing you there!
