Are you new to the Festival and want to learn more about Tennessee Williams?  Do you need a refresher course?  You can get started with, Williams 101, an occasion to learn everything you’d want to know about Tennessee Williams but were afraid to ask.

This entertaining 90-minute lesson on Tennessee Williams and this year’s plays will brief audiences on the playwrights, with handy insights about our lineup of performances.  Williams 101 will be offered at 1:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, September 23-24.

Williams 101 is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your Tennessee Williams and discover how his works have shaped this year’s theme of censorship.

With informative backgrounds on this year’s playwrights, the discussion will prime you for a weekend of theater. Peppered with Festival artists, Williams 101 provides audience members with practical insights into the thematic through-lines of this year’s Festival.

Williams 101 will be led by Patricia Navarra, Adjunct Associate Professor, Writing Studies at Hofstra University and Committee A on Academic Freedom and Tenure, AAUP.
